About Us Thomas L. Mraz has been in the property & casualty business over 29 years.  After graduating from Texas Christian University with a BBA in 1974, Tom worked for Travelers Insurance Company as a commercial underwriter.  In 1977, Tom founded what is now Mraz-Simmons Insurance with a goal of establishing long term relationships with agency clients based on prompt, courteous and professional service.  As an independent agent, Mraz-Simmons represents many of the highest rated insurance carriers in the marketplace, assuring the most competitive insuranc program custom built for each Mraz-Simmons client. Simmons has 25 years experience in the insurance business.  He graduated with a BBA from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was immediately drafted into professional football where he played for two years.  Berl then landed in the specialty field of aviation insurance, on the company-side of the business, where he worked with agents helping them develop plans for their customers for over 7 years.  Later, he expanded his outlook from aviation insurance to property and casualty insurance.  Berl has been an independent agent for the past 18 years helping customers find the right insurance plan to suit their company's individual needs.  As a Partner in Mraz-Simmons Insurance since 1990, Berl strives to provide personalized, professional service to all of his clients. Stratton, CLU, ChFC, RHU graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1970 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and received his Masters Degree in Education in 1975.  He worked in the field of Education for 7 years before entering the insurance business.  A true professional, Jim earned his CLU and ChFC designations from The American College and is also a Registered Health Underwriter.  Jim works with businesses and individuals to meet their life, disability, and health insurance needs.  With over 26 years experience as an independent employee benefits broker, Jim is able to bring the most competitive benefit plans to his clients from the highest rated insurance companies.  When appropriate, he also works with clients on design and implementation of self-funded benefit plans.  In addition to the traditional benefits of medical, life, dental, and disability insurance, Jim also offers retirement plan options to his clients.
